Sunday is here.....

....and we have left our dirty laundry washing at a laundromat down the street. It is a VERY small place with like 4 small and 3 large machines that are combo wash/dry machines. We had one large and one small load and the charge to wash and dry was 18 euros or 792 dollars!! (just being funny, its about .77 euro per dollar so about 25 bucks)

It is 1030 am here now, after we get our laundry back we will figure out which way we are going today. The "big" things here (aside from the Vatican which is on our Tuesday schedule) that we haven't seen yet are the Pantheon and the Spanish steps. We have also not been to any of the big squares at night and we want to see the Colosseum at night. They light up that whole part of town in yellowish light to mimic how it would have looked by oil lamp light in ancient times.

I have read and also had someone who spent time here tell me you can do Rome in 2-3 days.......but if you enjoy discovering something new every day every time you turn a new corner, you couldn't completely do Rome in 2-3 lifetimes. When we leave our hotel the only reason to have a map is to find our way back.....which direction we travel doesn't seem to matter since it is (to us) new and exciting in every direction.
